DAY 1

Lima – Flight to Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Machu Picchu

Your unforgettable journey to Machu Picchu begins early in the morning with a private transfer from your hotel in Lima to Jorge Chávez International Airport for your domestic flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, our professional representative will welcome you at the airport holding a sign with your name for easy identification. After a brief introduction and tour orientation, you will receive your travel tickets and a complimentary snack bag before beginning the scenic drive to Ollantaytambo, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

At the train station, our staff will assist you before boarding your train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Please ensure you have your original passport and train ticket ready, as they are required for boarding.

The train journey offers one of the most spectacular routes in Peru, traveling alongside the majestic Urubamba River and through breathtaking Andean landscapes, picturesque villages, cloud forests, and towering mountains. The trip lasts approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our representative will escort you to your comfortable hotel for check-in. The remainder of the afternoon is free for you to relax and explore the charming town at your own pace. You may also choose to visit the famous hot springs or enjoy optional activities to enhance your experience in the region.

DAY 2

Aguas Calientes – Guided Tour of Machu Picchu – Train to Ollantaytambo – Flight from Cusco to Lima

Early in the morning, you will take the scenic tourist bus from Aguas Calientes to the majestic Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. The 30-minute ride ascends through lush cloud forest landscapes, offering beautiful views of Putucusi Mountain and the Vilcanota River along the way.

Upon arrival at the entrance checkpoint, you must present your original passport and Machu Picchu entry ticket before beginning your guided visit. Once inside the citadel, your professional guide will lead you through the designated circuit, sharing fascinating insights into the history, architecture, and mysteries of one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

During the approximately 2-hour and 30-minute guided tour, you will explore the most iconic sectors of Machu Picchu while enjoying spectacular panoramic views. Please note that Machu Picchu operates under a one-way circuit system, meaning visitors cannot return to the initial viewpoints once the tour has progressed. For this reason, we highly recommend taking your classic photos at the beginning of the visit.

After the guided experience, you may choose to enhance your adventure with an optional hike to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. These permits are limited, require advance reservation, and involve an additional cost.

Later, you will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch at one of the town’s excellent restaurants, offering both traditional Peruvian cuisine and international dishes (lunch not included).

In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo through the breathtaking Sacred Valley landscapes. Upon arrival, our private transportation will transfer you directly to Cusco Airport for your return flight to Lima.

Once you arrive in Lima, our staff will transfer you to your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable 2-day journey to Machu Picchu.
