Embark on an unforgettable two-day journey along Peru’s southern coast, where desert landscapes, ocean wildlife, and ancient mysteries converge. Your adventure begins with the stunning Paracas National Reserve, home to dramatic coastal cliffs, golden beaches, and rich marine life. Set sail to the Ballestas Islands, often called “the poor man’s Galápagos,” where you’ll spot colonies of sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and countless seabirds in their natural habitat.
Continue to Huacachina, the only natural desert oasis in South America, surrounded by towering sand dunes. Here, you can experience the thrill of sandboarding and dune buggy rides while watching a spectacular desert sunset.
On the second day, travel to the enigmatic Nazca Lines, massive geoglyphs etched into the desert floor over 1,500 years ago. Soar above these ancient designs on a scenic flight for a once-in-a-lifetime perspective of figures such as the hummingbird, monkey, and condor. Along the way, enjoy sweeping views of the arid landscapes, charming coastal towns, and the unique blend of history and adventure that makes this short escape so extraordinary.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 5:00 AM and begin our journey south along the Pan-American Highway toward Paracas Bay, located 261 km from Lima. Upon arrival, we will head to the tourist pier to board a modern speedboat for an unforgettable excursion to the Ballestas Islands.
En route, we will pause to admire El Candelabro, a mysterious and monumental geoglyph etched into the sandy hillside—visible only from the sea or air due to its unique location and scale.
We will then continue toward the Ballestas Islands, home to an impressive array of marine wildlife. Here, you can observe large colonies of guano birds, Humboldt penguins, and playful sea lions in their natural habitat. After the visit, we will return to the pier in Paracas, where you will have some free time to relax or explore the local surroundings.
Our adventure continues as we travel to the city of Ica, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch and have the chance to sample the region’s renowned artisanal wines and piscos.
In the afternoon, we will visit Huacachina, known as The Oasis of America. Surrounded by towering golden dunes, this natural wonder is the perfect setting for an exhilarating dune buggy ride. You will also experience the thrill of sandboarding, sliding down the steep slopes of the desert—a truly unforgettable adventure.
At the end of the day, we will transfer you to your hotel in Ica for an overnight stay.
At 07:00 hrs, we will depart from Ica towards the city of Nazca. Upon arrival, we will head to the Nazca Aerodrome to board a light aircraft for an unforgettable flight over the legendary Nazca Lines.
These vast and mysterious geoglyphs, etched into the desert surface over 1,500 years ago, cover an area of approximately 350 km². From the air, you will marvel at their intricate designs, which include iconic figures such as The Spider, The Monkey, The Hummingbird, The Lizard, and The Condor, among others. Ranging in size from 15 to 300 meters in length and carved to a depth of about 30 centimeters, these creations remain one of the world’s greatest archaeological enigmas.
After the flight, we will begin our return journey to Lima via shared transportation, concluding with a transfer to your hotel.
