We will start our adventure around 8:30 a.m. with pickup from your hotel in Puerto Maldonado. From there, we will head to the port and take a boat ride of approximately 30 minutes along the Madre de Dios River, enjoying the beautiful Amazon scenery, fresh air, and the peaceful sounds of the rainforest.
After arriving at the entrance of the Tambopata National Reserve, we will register and begin our walk through the jungle. The trail is approximately 3 kilometers and takes us through a fascinating Amazon landscape filled with giant trees, tropical plants, colorful birds, insects, and the possibility of spotting monkeys high in the treetops.
Once we reach the stunning Lake Sandoval, we will continue the adventure by boarding traditional canoes to explore its calm waters surrounded by dense rainforest.
