  • Meals:None

In the morning, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for an early transfer to the airport to catch your domestic flight to Cusco (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), the historical heart of the Inca Empire. After arriving in Cusco, you’ll be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

The tour starts with a visit to Plaza San Cristóbal (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), where you’ll be able to take in a panoramic view of the entire city. Then, head over to the bustling San Pedro Market (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), a great place to experience local culture and try regional products. You’ll also visit the Temple of Koricancha (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), known for its magnificent Inca stonework. Admire the impressive Santo Domingo Church (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), built on the foundation of ancient Inca structures.

Next, walk through Hatun Rumiyoc Street (11,152 ft / 3,399 m) to see the famous Twelve-Angle Stone. You’ll also explore Plaza de Armas (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), once the center of the Incan Empire, where you’ll see Cusco Cathedral (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), a colonial-era treasure.

Afterward, visit the archaeological site of Sacsayhuamán (12,142 ft / 3,701 m), a fortress known for its impressive stone walls. Nearby, you’ll explore Qenqo (11,482 ft / 3,500 m), a ceremonial site, and the military lookout Puca Pucará (11,975 ft / 3,650 m). Finish your tour at Tambomachay (12,140 ft / 3,701 m), renowned for its intricate stonework and water channels. Overnight in Cusco.

  • Meals:Breakfast

Today, embark on a train journey through the Sacred Valley (9,514 ft / 2,900 m) to the town of Aguas Calientes (6,693 ft / 2,041 m), also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The train ride offers stunning views of the Andean mountains, lush green landscapes, and the unique flora and fauna of the region. Along the way, you’ll have plush seats, large windows to admire the scenery, and a selection of local drinks and snacks.

Machu Picchu remained hidden from the world for centuries due to its remote location high in the mountains. The nearest town is Aguas Calientes (6,693 ft / 2,041 m), located at the base of the mountain along the Vilcanota River (6,693 ft / 2,041 m). From here, a 20-minute bus ride along a steep, zigzagging road will take you up to the site. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll be transferred to your selected hotel for the night.

  • Meals:Breakfast

Start early with a bus ride from Aguas Calientes up to Machu Picchu (7,972 ft / 2,430 m), the legendary Inca citadel. Once there, you’ll embark on a guided tour that takes you through its iconic structures, such as the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Plaza, and the Temple of the Three Windows. Afterward, hike up to Huayna Picchu (8,920 ft / 2,720 m), which towers over Machu Picchu. The steep trail leads to ancient terraces and temples built at the peak, offering a panoramic view of the ruins below. The number of visitors allowed on Huayna Picchu is limited, making this a truly exclusive experience.

Explore other sacred sites like the Temple of the Moon (7,218 ft / 2,200 m) and the Great Cavern (7,218 ft / 2,200 m). Continue your tour of Machu Picchu by visiting the Temple of the Condor, Principal Temple, and the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) (8,923 ft / 2,720 m), a popular viewpoint where you can capture the perfect photo of this world-renowned site.

Later, return to Cusco (11,152 ft / 3,399 m) via train in the afternoon or evening, where you’ll be transferred to your hotel for the night.
