Afterward, hike up to Huayna Picchu (8,920 ft / 2,720 m), which towers over Machu Picchu. The steep trail leads to ancient terraces and temples built at the peak, offering a panoramic view of the ruins below. The number of visitors allowed on Huayna Picchu is limited, making this a truly exclusive experience.
Explore other sacred sites like the Temple of the Moon (7,218 ft / 2,200 m) and the Great Cavern (7,218 ft / 2,200 m). Continue your tour of Machu Picchu by visiting the Temple of the Condor, Principal Temple, and the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) (8,923 ft / 2,720 m), a popular viewpoint where you can capture the perfect photo of this world-renowned site.
