Day 1: Bike through scenic valleys, visit Cruzpata Maras and Salineras, raft the Urubamba River, and hike to Santa Maria drive to Sta Teresa and Loreta and an overnight stay at Sky Lodge Dome.
Day 2: Hike to Llactapata with stunning views of Machu Picchu, then follow the train tracks to Aguas Calientes for a night of rest.
Day 3: Visit Machu Picchu, explore the citadel, optional hikes, and return to Cusco by train.
Mountain Biking Through the Andes, experience thrilling mountain biking with breathtaking views of the Andes and local villages, followed by a luxurious stay at the Sky Lodge Dome in Loreta.
Your journey begins with an early pickup and a road trip through the Sacred Valley, where mountains rise like ancient guardians and the air feels fresh enough to reset your soul.
We start biking through scenic highland routes, passing Cruzpata, Maras, and the iconic Salineras salt terraces, carving our way through landscapes that shift from farmland to canyon views.
By midday, we swap wheels for water—rafting down the Urubamba River for an adrenaline-filled ride through rolling waves and jungle-lined shores.
As the sun starts dipping behind the Andes, we continue the adventure on foot, hiking toward Santa María, then driving deeper along the valley to Santa Teresa and Loreta.

The day concludes with a well-deserved night of rest beneath the stars at our exclusive Sky Lodge Domes, where the mountains silhouette the horizon and the soft sounds of the forest lull you into sleep.
We wake surrounded by misty jungle peaks and begin our ascent to Llactapata, an Inca site perched directly across from Machu Picchu. Few travelers ever reach this overlook—here, you’ll see the citadel from a dramatic angle most only glimpse in photos. It’s raw, wild, and unforgettable.
After taking in the views, we descend through lush trails until we join the historic railway path used by Hiram Bingham when he re-introduced Machu Picchu to the world.
We follow the tracks beside the rushing river and towering cliffs until we reach Aguas Calientes, the town cradled at Machu Picchu’s feet.
Tonight is all about rest—hot showers, good food, soft beds—and preparing for the big day tomorrow.
Before dawn, we begin the final ascent to Machu Picchu—either by a scenic uphill hike or by bus (optional). Entering early lets you breathe the citadel’s quiet morning magic before crowds arrive.
Your guide will lead a deep, story-rich exploration of temples, terraces, palaces, and sacred viewpoints—bringing to life the architecture, astronomy, and mysticism behind the Inca empire.
When ready, we return to Aguas Calientes for the train back through the Sacred Valley and transport to Cusco, arriving by evening—tired in the best way, soul full, camera full, heart full.

Huayna Picchu Mountain is an optional trek within the Machu Picchu Citadel and does not include a guide. The climb is usually done on your own after the Machu Picchu tour. If you prefer a guided extra hike, please request it in advance; there is an additional cost for this guided tour.

Train Return Option: Depart from Aguas Calientes between 2:30 and 8:20 pm (subject to availability). After a 1.5-hour train ride to Ollantaytambo, you will transfer to a vehicle for a 2-hour drive to Cusco, arriving around 10:30 pm. Aprox.
Car/Bus Return Option: Start a 3-hour hike from Machu Picchu to the hydroelectric station by 11:00 am at the latest to catch the bus at 3:00 pm. This journey will take approximately 6-7 hours, reaching Cusco around 10 pm. Both options will end at Plaza Regocijo.

As a Direct Local Tour operator, we provide a duffel bag at your briefing and include an extra porter who will carry up to 7 kgs/15 lbs, including sleeping bag, mattress, and extra clothing. By Peruvian law, a duffel bag must not weigh more than 7 kilograms (15 lbs).
This limit is set to protect the health of porters and horses. All bags will be weighed before being accepted. If you have more than 7 kilograms, you will need to carry the extra weight in your day pack. This 7 kg limit includes 2 kg for your sleeping bag and 1 kg for your sleeping pad, leaving you about 4 kg for personal gear.

During the day, temperatures can range from 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), while evenings can cool down to around 18°C to 22°C (64°F to 72°F). The dry season (April to October) provides the best conditions for outdoor activities with sunny, pleasant days, but during the rainy season (November to March), be prepared for occasional tropical downpours. Regardless of the season, pack a light rain jacket or poncho for unpredictable weather.
