The Nazca Lines are a series of ancient geoglyphs created by the Nazca culture between 500 BCE and 500 CE. These massive figures depict animals, plants, geometric shapes, and symbols, and are best seen from the air. The most common way to visit the Nazca Lines from Lima is by bus or private transport to Nazca, followed by a scenic flight over the lines from Nazca Airport. The journey from Lima to Nazca takes about 6–7 hours by road. Some travelers also combine Nazca with Paracas and Huacachina as part of a multi-day itinerary.
